Our team of four created the concept for Her Journey: an app connecting women commuters on the Caltrain together so that they can find safety in numbers at stations which feel unsafe and navigate pre/post Caltrain transport together in a safe and cost effective way.

5. Developing Her Journey and testing how to make trustworthy matches

We identified making trustworthy matches among commuters as a core challenge and differentiating factor for Her Journey. Other similar apps such as Uber's ride sharing feature left women commuters dissatisfied and worried about who they were getting in the car with. We asked our users what information would make them trust a stranger most.
